Batalla de Brión / Brion Battle
La batalla de Brión se desencadenó el 25 y 26 de agosto de 1800, fue un enfrentamiento bélico entre tropas británicas y españolas.
Altos mandos del ejército británico recomendaron a su gobierno ejecutar un ataque por sorpresa contra un objetivo estratégico lo más desprotegido posible... el Secretario de Estado británico para la Guerra, Henry Dundas, ordenó una incursión en el puerto español de Ferrol (Galicia), que disponía de unas defensas sumamente deficientes.
Los británicos, a pesar de tener un ejercito 10 veces superior no consiguieron tomar la plaza y se les atribuyen más de mil bajas en el desembarco, a pesar de luchar en el mismo 8.000 soldados británicos contra 2.000 españoles.

The battle of Brion was in 1800, the 25 and 26 of August, it was a warlike confrontation among British troops and Spaniards.
Top managements of the British army recommended to their government executing an attack for surprise opposing view a strategic objective the most unprotected possible ... the British Secretary Of State for the War, Henry Dundas, ordered an incursion in Ferrol, a north Spanish port ( Galicia ), it had an extremely deficient defenses.
The Britishers had an army superior than Spanish forces but they didn’t take the city and lost over thousand men in the first landing. In the first landing British were about 8,000 men vs 2,000 Spanish soldiers.
As is usual is difficult to find information from English authors about this battle, English writers never work about lost battles and wars by English side, similar with Nelson Admiral in Tenerife or the battle with Blas de Lezo in Cartagena de Indias.
